Car alarms with immobilizer
Immobilizer
— a device that deprives the car of mobility in the event of illegal possession. Unlike the blocking block (see the relevant paragraph), the immobilizer is not tied to an alarm and can work even when the main alarm is silent. The principle of operation of this function is that after a certain event (opening the door, starting the engine, starting to move — depending on the model), the person sitting behind the wheel must perform some action to turn off the immobilizer — otherwise the latter will work and make further movement impossible. Disabling can be done by pressing a secret button, giving a code signal from a key fob, etc.; anyway, the method of influence is chosen in such a way that it is inaccessible to an attacker. And the immobilizers themselves are often made in such a way that the operation resembles a technical problem — this makes it difficult to detect and disable the device.immobilizer | clear | Save List |
