Attachments usually look like characteristic combs worn on the working part of the hair clipper. They are used in order to limit the height of cutting hair — in other words, so that the clipper leaves hair of a strictly defined length. This length (in millimetres) is usually specified in the specs. At the same time, on the market you can find models for which several options are claimed — for example, 3 – 6 mm. Usually these are double-sided attachments: the cutting height depends on which side the device is put on the clipper.

Also note that in addition to attachments for regular hair cutting, you can find accessories with a different specialization on the market, in particular:

— Figured nozzles — for the formation of patterns;
— For cutting beards — they are relatively small;
— Thinning — to give a natural look to short hair after the main haircut, at the final stage;
— For hair in the nose and ears — they have a very small width and, often, a conical shape.

As for compatibility, accessories of this type can be both universal (for clippers with a certain width of the working part) and specialized (for certain series or individual models of clippers from the same manufacturer).
