— cosmetic devices used to determine the moisture content, and often also the oiliness of the skin.

Such a device makes the selection of cosmetic, hygienic and medical products much easier — especially if you are not sure what type of skin you have and what kind of products you should use. Moisture/oiliness meters most often work on the bioelectric principle: two electrodes are applied to the skin, between which weak electrical impulses are passed, and according to the characteristics of these impulses the device determines the necessary parameters. The current intensity is very low, so the procedure is harmless and does not cause any discomfort.
