End cutting boards

 

— end boards are predominantly cutting boards. These are made from the transverse part of the wood, the fibers of the end board are located across, which makes it more resistant to transverse mechanical loads. It is generally accepted that end boards are twice as durable as longitudinal counterparts. But at the same time, most of the end boards are type-setting — they consist of many transversely arranged segments that are interconnected using glue with zero formaldehyde content.
