When forming paper rolls, it is possible to obtain figures in the form of: a circle, a drop, a square, a crescent, as well as figures with more complex geometry, including irregular ones. For twisting paper strips, a long and thin hairpin with a forked tip is usually used. But for quilling, various combs can also be used.
