It allows you to achieve higher efficiency values than the classic plate heat exchanger; at the same time, it also works for moisture recovery, it is not subject to freezing at outdoor temperatures below zero, and it also takes up less space. The disadvantages of rotary heat exchangers are the design complexity, high cost and somewhat lower reliability than plate heat exchangers; besides, they slightly increase the energy consumption and noise level of the entire installation.
