Blade garden shredders
— this category includes all systems that use knives of one kind or another — single blades, slotted discs, smooth, serrated, etc. While blade designs vary, in most cases these systems provide a thorough and “fine” finish, which has led to their general purpose of working with leaves, stems and other soft debris. However, some knife shredders can also work with branches; but in terms of productivity and thickness of the processed material, they usually lose to roller varieties.
