Video intercoms
— a variety of classic wired intercoms that supports both voice communication and video communication. However video communication in them is usually one-way — the owner is able to see the visitor, but not vice versa. The convenience of this function is obvious: it is much easier to identify and evaluate a visitor by the “picture” from the camera than by voice alone. On the other hand, such devices are more expensive than audio models — both because of the high price of the intercoms themselves, and because of the need to use outdoor panels with cameras.
