Intercoms with half duplex communication
Half duplex
— with half-duplex communication, it is impossible to speak and listen at the same time – the conversation is carried out as in classic walkie-talkies, where one of the interlocutors must be configured to receive, the other – to transmit. However, in intercoms, switching between reception and transmission is often carried out not by a button, but by a voice activation system: until the device “hears” the user’s voice, it works to receive, and then it switches to transmission. Due to this, conversations over half-duplex intercoms can be practically indistinguishable from classic two-way communication, and such devices are much cheaper.half duplex | clear | Save List |
