Such a screen allows you to easily manage numerous functions and settings: you can display different controls (buttons, switches, sliders, etc.) on it, displaying the optimal set of such elements for each situation. On the other hand, in intercoms with the simplest capabilities, such versatility is not needed, and the screen itself is noticeably more expensive than usual (especially since it must be quite large). Therefore, touch displays are an almost unmistakable sign of high-end models with an abundance of additional features.
