The specific format of the operation of such a connection may be different. So, some devices are able to work within the local network; this provides almost all the same capabilities as a wired IP / LAN connection (see the relevant paragraph) — however, there is no need to run a cable when connecting, which greatly simplifies installation. Other devices (mostly video calls — see "Device type") use Wi-Fi in P2P format — a direct connection to another gadget like a smartphone or tablet. And some advanced models support both of these formats of work at once.

The described nuances should be clarified separately, however, anyway, Wi-Fi support is typical mainly for fairly functional and advanced devices. At the same time, we note that some of them may also support a wired network connection; such models are included in both corresponding items in this list at once.
