— the presence of an overflow in the design of the washbasin sink. The overflow is designed to drain excess water and prevent it from pouring out of the sink onto the floor. It is a hole at the top edge of the bowl: reaching it, the water enters a special hose and is discharged into the drain pipe, instead of overflowing over the edge. Note that the overflow hose is usually not supplied with the kit (although there are exceptions). In addition, this function does not eliminate the need to monitor the condition of the sewer — when the siphon is clogged, it becomes useless.Show
