— wireless communication protocol created for automation and alarm systems. It features good security and noise immunity, high response speed (from 0.15 sec), and minimal power consumption. A notable feature of ZigBee is the use of MESH topology - signals between the siren and the control device can be transmitted either directly or through any number of intermediate nodes, and the optimal route is determined taking into account the current situation. So, if one of the nodes on the shortest signal path fails, the information will go “bypass” - through other repeaters within reach.
