Toilets with automatic drain
— a feature that eliminates the need to drain the water manually. Usually, it works on the basis of a presence sensor: the drain turns on after the sensor stops detecting the presence of a person on the toilet or next to it.
This opportunity provides several advantages at once. Firstly, hygiene increases: you do not need to touch the handles, buttons and other elements of the toilet once again. This is especially useful in public toilets (offices, cafes / restaurants, train stations, etc.), but it will not be superfluous for home use. Secondly, with such a toilet, in principle, the situation “I forgot to flush after myself” is impossible. Thirdly, auto-draining can be a real salvation for those users who, for one reason or another (old age, disability, health problems), find it difficult to use traditional systems.
The disadvantages of autodrain, in addition to the price, include some difficulties with re-draining the water. If in manual systems it’s enough just to press the button again, turn the tap, etc., then in automatic systems you will have to at least return to the toilet and move away from it again (or even leave the bathroom altogether).
