Sterilizers with steam sterilization
— sterilization by heated steam. It is quite effective, while the procedure requires only water and a heat source (electricity or a microwave oven, see "Operating principle"). In addition, this method is especially appreciated by principled opponents of chemical treatment (see ibid.). Among the disadvantages of steam sterilization, one can note the dependence on heat sources, as well as unsuitability for some materials (for example, latex pacifiers do not tolerate high temperatures well). Also, and you can not use processed items immediately — they must cool.
Note that in some steam models, cold sterilization can also be carried out; similar devices are also included in this category.
