Tape measures

— measuring tools in the form of a coil with a metal sheet of a characteristic concave shape, which gives the tape the necessary rigidity to resist fracture. A measuring scale is applied to the measuring tape of the tape measure, with the help of which length measurements are taken in a straight line. To fix the zero mark of the scale, a metal hook is usually installed on the tip of the measuring cloth. There are also options with a double tip (on the front and back of the canvas). As a rule, tape measures are provided with a web retainer and a spring, which is responsible for self-winding the measuring tape into the body. Often, additional mechanisms can be used in equipping roulettes. For example, a small flashlight for illuminating the scale, a strap for carrying the instrument on the wrist, a clip for fixing it on a belt, etc.
