Spring clamps
— a kind of clamps (see “Type”), which is a kind of “reverse pliers”: if in pliers you need to press the handles to compress the jaws, then in the clamping clamps the jaws are compressed by themselves, and pressing the handles opens them. In other words, such devices work similarly to conventional clothespins. Their key advantage is the speed of work: the clamp opens and closes almost instantly, there is no need to turn the screw and wait for the jaws to converge / disperse to the desired distance. On the other hand, such tools operate at relatively low clamping forces; it is difficult to achieve a large clamping force in them.
