— rubber combines strength, flexibility, insensitivity to moisture and most contaminants, and ease of cleaning. It is one of the traditional materials for floor mats in salons: among other things, such a carpet can be easily removed for cleaning and put back into place. Another advantage of rubber products is that their surface is usually corrugated for a more reliable grip; in some cases (for example, when leaving the car in an emergency), this feature may be useful. However this material does not differ in a variety of designs, however, in most cases, the classic black colour is quite a suitable option. But the unambiguous disadvantages of rubber include the fact that many contaminants — in particular, dust, sand, clay — stand out strongly on it. So in order to maintain a neat appearance, such a rug will have to be cleaned quite often. However, again, this procedure is simple — most often it is enough to shake off the debris and wipe the product with a damp cloth.Note that rubber mats are also available for boots, but there are relatively few such models. This is mainly due to the relatively high cost of this material. On the other hand, rubber has more advanced practical characteristics than plastic: it fits snugly into the boot, does not create unnecessary noise, and also does not deform or crack from temperature changes.
It is also worth mentioning that polyurethane, which is also used for rugs, is similar in some properties to rubber, but it is usually classified as a type of plastic (see the relevant paragraph).
