Belt driven compressors
prices on 39 models— as the name implies, this drive uses a belt drive, consisting of two pulleys and the drive belt itself. Such a scheme is more complex and requires more space than a direct drive (due to which it is practically not used in units with a vertical receiver). On the other hand, it is considered the most advanced to date, due to two advantages. First, the separate location of the engine and the mechanism significantly increases the cooling efficiency, which practically removes restrictions on the power and duration of continuous operation of the engine. Second: a belt drive allows the use of a low-speed working mechanism in the design, which has a longer resource and is less noisy than a high-speed direct drive one. Also worth noting is the ease of minor repairs.
