Compressors with frequency converter

 

— the frequency converter is used to automatically control the motor power in the compressor (see "Motor type"), more precisely, to adjust the speed to the current air consumption and maintain a constant pressure.

In electrical units, in addition to reducing wear and tear and eliminating current surges in the network, such systems provide the most stable air pressure at the outlet, and energy is spent more rationally. At the same time, frequency converters are expensive and take up quite a lot of space; and the advantages mentioned are relevant for heavy equipment of a professional class. Therefore, this function is found mainly among industrial compressors with an operating voltage of 400 V and based on internal combustion engines.
