PVSm wires
PVSm wires
— a modified version of the PVS wire, distinguished by its outer insulation with enhanced oil resistance. For general features of PVS, see the relevant section. Here, we note that the "ordinary" polyvinyl chloride used in most such wires does not handle contact with technical oils well. The PVS-m wire lacks this drawback: the insulation composition is designed to ensure resistance to oils and some other technical fluids. Such a cable can be used similarly to regular PVS, but it is especially convenient for laying connections in various technical rooms, as well as in machines and mechanisms.
