They are not afraid of ultraviolet radiation, they can be washed and dried both by hand and by machine. Acrylic fibre is a kind of synthetics, which is obtained as a result of the processing of complex hydrocarbons. Acrylic fabric has a soft and elastic structure. An important advantage of this type of synthetics is the absolute hypoallergenicity, so that blankets from it can be used even in a children's room. Acrylic fibre has much in common with natural wool, the materials are very similar in appearance and tactile sensations, but unlike wool, acrylic does not cough and does not shrink over time. Neither moths nor dust mites start in an acrylic fibre blanket. Among the shortcomings of acrylic, one can single out the susceptibility to the accumulation of an electrostatic charge, which is characteristic of any synthetics. To offset this drawback, wool, cotton and other natural materials are often added in the manufacture of an acrylic blanket.
