Nylon material produces a warmer more subdued sound than wire great for a softer musical situation that requires a dampened tone. The Pearl Poly Rods Drumsticks are the original poly rod stick. Never to be equalled they bridged the gap between volume and feel sacrificing neither whilst letting them work together. When regular sticks are too loud but brushes equally as soft Poly Rods create a new dimension somewhere in between. Made from birch dowels they have a lively and bouncy rebound that allows the drum to resonate fully without the need to lay into it. The Pearl PWB-02 Retractable Wire Drum Brush includes retractable medium gauge steel wires providing the perfect tone for jazz. The wires can be set at three different spreads each offering their own unique sound. The stick can also be rotated making the metal pull rod a beater for use on cymbals. The rubber handles provide comfort when performing and are durable enough for frequent use.
