Note that such equipment, by definition, is provided in digital levels, so for such devices the presence of a camera is not specifically specified. And most of the devices for which this feature is indicated relate to laser rangefinders: the image from the camera is displayed directly on the screen, and the entire system is used as a viewfinder to aim the beam at the desired object. This is especially useful at considerable distances (from 50 m or more), at which it is difficult to see the laser mark and control its position. Actually, powerful “long-range” rangefinders are equipped with cameras - in simpler devices, there is no need to use such equipment, especially since it significantly affects the price.
