— a classic, centuries-old form, extremely popular today. Rectangular carpets are comfortable, practical and at the same time the easiest to manufacture when compared with other forms. In addition, such products are able to cover the maximum floor area in most rooms. The exception is rooms of non-standard shape (rounded, with curved walls, etc.), as well as rooms with furnishings in separate corners; in the latter case, oval carpets are often more comfortable (see the relevant paragraph).
