The cotton used in the be more→dlinen has been sourced through the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) and includes duvet covers in four sizes which have a plain percale reverse. Pillowcases and the corordianting Baroque embroidered cushion are all available seperately.
This duvet pattern is inspired by The Garden of Love, a stunning French toile from 1790 housed in the V&A's collection of textiles and fashion. Along with traditional love themes of shepherds and shep more→herdesses with their flocks, it depicts amorous doves in a tranquil pastoral setting.

This floral pattern takes its inspiration from the masterful work of Arthur Wilcock, a renowned designer commissioned by eminent textile and wallpaper producers of his time. The artist's importance fo more→r the decorative textile industry and wallpaper trade increased in the 19th and 20th centuries. Wilcock in particular was much used by Liberty of London in the 1890s for their Art Nouveau furnishing fabrics. He also became director of the furnishing textile company, Newman, Smith & Newman and was on the council of the Design and Industries Association, a group formed to bring together modern manufacturing techniques.
