Internal PC pockets
For PC
— pockets designed for regular desktop PCs. They may also be referred to as "chassis", but in the professional field, the chassis is just one of the varieties of such devices: the so-called Mobile Rack, colloquially known as "sled". Such a pocket consists of a base mounted in a 5.25" slot (similar to optical disc drives) and a removable cartridge that directly houses the drive; this allows you to quickly remove and install the drive without disassembling the case, which can be useful, for example, for security reasons — so that during the absence of a disk with materials you can take it with you or put it in a safe.To prevent theft or unauthorized physical access, the "sled" can be equipped with a lock that blocks the removal of the drive.Another kind of PC pockets are adapters for installing drives in non-standard seats. The classic case is the use of a 2.5" laptop drive in a 3.5" desktop case, but nowadays there is a more specific option — the use of an SSD M.2 drive as a PCI-E expansion card (for more details, see "Form factor") .
