— outwardly, such dryers are practically indistinguishable from ordinary doormats laid in the hallway — the main difference is the presence of a heating element. Unlike other types, mats warm shoes not from the inside, but from the outside. This, on the one hand, it reduces efficiency, which is why it takes more time for high-quality drying; on the other hand, the heating is more “soft” and gentle. Another convenience of such models is that they practically do not require additional actions from the user — it is enough to take off the shoes and put them to dry, like on a simple mat. This is much easier to get into the habit than using stationary and, especially, internal dryers.
