This is what they call travel away from the coast with a good tailwind and excitement: you can move through the water with minimal effort, using the energy of the wind and waves and only periodically helping yourself with a paddle. In part, downwind is similar to surfing, but it is not as extreme, it is used at low wave heights, and the movement takes place on a strictly predetermined course, from one destination to another. Therefore, models suitable for such skating are found mainly among touring and sports boards: they have a small width and hold speed well, and relatively low manoeuvrability, in this case, is not a disadvantage — on the contrary, due to this feature, stability on the course is ensured.
