Among the whole variety of laser color and monochrome printers, there are only two manufacturers for me - Hewlett-Packard and Canon. Moreover, the piquancy of the situation is that most HP laser cameras are produced at the facilities of the Japanese giant and are essentially modified Canon models. So a logical question arises: why pay more if the original products of the Japanese concern are often cheaper? Great price, I didn’t even think that it would be possible to buy a full-fledged color laser printer for only 200 dollars. It doesn’t work as fast as its monochrome counterparts, but you still don’t have to wait long for a document - both monochrome and color printing in standard quality runs at a speed of 18 ppm. Prints on good paper come out of excellent quality. Of course, it is not intended for presentation photo printing, but it prints business and technical graphics remarkably well. It has a spacious paper tray (up to 250 sheets, but it’s better to put up to 200), and it can work with both thin, cheap paper (from 50 g/sq.m.) and very thick paper (up to 200 g/sq.m.). The output of the first page is slow, and this does not depend on what and how much you print. In any case, the printer warms up for at least 12-15 seconds. According to an old but bad tradition, manufacturers sell printers either with half-fill toner, or even with special starter cartridges that are not suitable for long-term use. In this case, color cartridges have a resource of 1300 pages, which is acceptable - not very much is printed in color and they will last for a long time (the retail cost of three color cartridges is approximately 6000 UAH). But the black one with a capacity of 1300 pages ran out quickly and its full replacement with a resource of 2800 pages costs 2700 UAH. |
