Two seasons. Two different winters in the conditions of Kyiv and the region + the Carpathians... Dry asphalt, ice, slush, snow, and a lot of snow - she doesn't care. I don't have ABS, or various fancy systems on the Fabia. I have never found myself in a stupid situation looking for help. The rubber is a little noisy, but this is a price to pay for grip properties. If you live in regions with snowy and cold winters, then ice arctic is a great option. On a snow-covered road it stays rooted to the spot; on a country road, even in deep ruts, it rides calmly without skidding or jerking. It always holds up in turns, even on a snow embankment. Who knows what a spike is, will appreciate and understand the quality Car RAV 4 2008 Long. Bought it in November 2016. The original size wasn't available. And winter came suddenly ))) got 235/65 17 SUV XL instead of 225/65 17... A day later it started snowing... A couple of days later, it melted... Overnight it froze - an ice rink... Basically, within the first week of use, I tested it... )) I can say the following: light snow, snowdrifts, drifts... - excellent. Dry asphalt - good. Wet asphalt - good. Ice - very good!!! After this week, drove confidently all winter. Both in the city and villages and the Carpathians... Drove everywhere calmly and with a smile. And the winter was "varied" and "interesting") the conditions alternated between snow, slush, ice... +5, -2, -15 to -20... 0°C and again in circles... And it handled all CONFIDENTLY! and Calmly!!! "Helpers" rarely worked... Driving style is active... sometimes aggressive )) Steering responses are precise, drift is predictable at speed. Everything is clear and predictable. Excellent studding! Liked it better than the previous ones. Before that was: Toyo - sticky... Then all with studs: - Hakka 5, Hankook RW... Nexen.. Hakka 7.. And now Goodyear Arctic Ice. Goodyear - to me, Better Than All By Far. Noisy .. But it's a THORN) Yes, and I took the size wider than my own ... Requires very slow and careful driving. A strong court does not allow cones to fall. Like two negative reviews. All the spikes fell out in two seasons; in fresh snow it doesn’t hold turns at all. I never listened to the tales that "in the city, driving on studded tires is like skating" - that's Soviet nonsense from Rosava people who never had even basic middle-class tires.
This is the best of all the studded tires I've driven on. And over 14 years of driving experience, I've covered more than 600 thousand kilometers in winter and summer... And in those years, I realized that summer is such that you can buy Barum, or Misha instead of Yokohama, but winter - it does not tolerate savings.
Before them, there was Barum, but they no longer import such studded tires to us.
Don't listen to the experienced ones with their "why do you need it in the city." When they kiss poles and the rear ends of Mercs, they also remember the phrase "a stingy man pays twice"...
