My Pirelli P7 was standard on my Golf VII. I left it for 4 years without any questions, last year I decided to change it simply due to time and mileage, although I probably could have driven it for another season. I just recently installed fresh tires and drove a little over a thousand km. So far the tires are showing their best side. It absorbs potholes well, of which there are quite a few after the winter. For me this is the best tire for comfort. In terms of dynamics, it is also sufficient; at speed it behaves predictably, understandably and adequately. Understanding what you want from tires comes with experience. The previous tires were stock hard ones; I replaced them after two seasons, not waiting for them to "die", I just got tired of them. The tires originally came from the factory on the Lada Vesta Cross. I drove for two seasons on my original set, and this year I decided to take the same tires. In terms of mileage (so that there are no questions about the fact that it was done so little) - taking into account the constant travel and business trips for work, I have covered almost fifty thousand kilometers in two seasons. Fortunately, you are entitled to compensation for the purchase of tires, so I didn’t think too much about the cost of purchasing a fresh set of tires. There are no complaints about the behavior of the tires. With my job, you can’t really choose what weather you drive in, so I had to drive in extreme heat (over +35 degrees) and in pouring rain. The tires perform well in any weather. Doesn't melt on hot asphalt. does not float up in puddles if the speed is adequate. The only caveat is that it doesn’t really like low temperatures, so seasonal re-shoes need to be planned correctly so that you don’t have to drive at temperatures below +5/+7 degrees. On cold asphalt, the tires are a little harsh and at least the ride comfort is lost.
