During operation, the saw blade makes up to 2800 strokes / min and moves with an amplitude of 20 mm. The Black&Decker BES301 reciprocating saw has a moderate weight (2.4 kg) and good ergonomics.

The back handle and the front of the body are covered with rubber pads that do not allow the palms to slip off the tool.
