Updated version of the model
The Omron RS1 automatic wrist blood pressure monitor, which has been in production for several years under the reference number HEM-6120-E, has now been replaced by an updated version of the blood pressure monitor marked HEM-6160-E. The device has undergone not only external changes, but also received a significant expansion of functionality. The new device retains a thin rectangular body and a small monochrome display, but a contrasting blue start button has appeared, as well as a button for recalling the values of the last measurement from the memory, which was not in the previous version. The device, with dimensions of 82x62x21 mm, weighs only 90 g. The device uses a standard cuff for an adult's arm with a wrist circumference range of 13.5 – 21.5 cm. The display shows the correct and incorrect position of the cuff on the wrist during measurement with separate icons.
Patented IntelliSense Technology
The device is equipped with a reliable pump that, when turned on, automatically pumps air into the cuff, and after measurement performs high-speed decompression (there is an indicator). The tonometer records blood pressure values from 40 to 260 mm Hg. Art. and pulse readings from 40 to 180 beats. min. The device is also able to detect heart rhythm disturbances (arrhythmia), which is a good prevention of stroke. Despite the fact that this model belongs to consumer-grade devices, it guarantees measurement accuracy with an error in measuring pressure ± 3% and pulse ± 5%. Patented IntelliSense technology helps you achieve reliable measurement values, which provides optimal cuff air pressure based on a preliminary estimate of the pulse. Included with the tonometer are 2 AAA batteries with a resource for 300 measurements. The device has a 2-level battery status indicator that displays low and critical charge on the display. To conserve battery life, the device automatically turns off after 2 minutes of inactivity. As a minus of the model, it is worth noting the lack of a travel case in the package.
