When focusing, the focal length slightly shifts. The manual lens has its quirks. Capturing moving people can only be done in a series with the focus ring adjustment. Shooting single shots with aperture 1.4 at 55mm doesn’t help with peaking; there’s a 50% chance of missing focus. You need to use an electronic magnifier. Also, the EXIF data for aperture isn't recorded in the file. I posted some photos on a forum, and the guys were like, "Cool, cool, what aperture is it shot at?" And I was like, "No idea, somewhere between 3.5 and 1.4."

A great option for those who want to play around with bokeh on a budget. Better than Helios lenses with an adapter, in my humble opinion. Personally, I'm a landscape and event photographer, so I don't really need a portrait lens, but for €7, why not have it?
The cheapest portrait lens for E-mount. For a beginner, it's good to have fun with bokeh. At 1.4, it's quite sharp in the center. Though at around 1.6, it gets even sharper. What more do you need for a face in a portrait? I hardly notice any vignetting. With light sources at 1.4 bokeh, there are some semi-circles, but not too much. Didn't notice any distortion. Tiny, smaller than 18-55. I carried it with my a6500 in my jacket pocket. Metal body. The more it wears out, the better it will shine. It will have a kind of retro style.
Afraid of not only backlighting but any bright light, like a bright ceiling lamp, for example. Contrast is lost immediately, haze, flares, harshness. And there’s no lens hood. And no thread for a lens hood. And probably no coating on the lenses. Though some people like that haze with flares.
Bokeh on straight lines can double, sometimes noticeable, sometimes not.
Sharp corners do not appear even at 5.6.
Chromatic aberration up to 2.0, will have to be corrected.
