The youngest model in Sony's full-frame fifty-fifty league for mirrorless cameras. The lens has a focal length of 50mm and a fast aperture of f/1.8. You can use it as a regular optics for every day, in the genre of travel photography and even for portrait shooting. By the way, when paired with APS-C cameras, the lens produces an almost standard portrait focal length of 75 mm.

The optical design of Sony 50mm f / 1.8 FE is simple - it consists of 6 elements in 5 groups. Also, the diaphragm design of 7 petals stood out quite ordinary. When shooting, the lens boasts high sharpness from an open aperture and a soft bokeh character. An autofocus drive is installed inside the model, which provides focusing from a minimum distance of 45 cm. The model is assembled in an ascetic plastic case without any frills: there are no focus switching buttons. Near the front lens of a fixed lens there is a thread for filters with a diameter of 49 mm. In addition, the model impresses with its compact dimensions (69x60 mm) and low weight (less than 200 g).
