The most affordable gadget in the range of Apple tablets is able to meet the basic needs of the user, significantly saving his low-cost when buying. Since this is an inexpensive entry-level device, it is often chosen for training, although it is certainly suitable for work too. The 2021 model has completely retained the design of its predecessor: a unibody aluminium body, weighing just under 500g, rather thick bezels around the screen and the traditional round Home button with a fingerprint scanner.
On the front panel is a 10.2-inch Retina IPS display with TrueTone technology, which automatically changes the screen brightness depending on the ambient light. But the main changes have taken place inside. The Apple iPad 2021 received the A13 Bionic chip, which is familiar from the 2019 iPhone 11 family of smartphones. The manufacturer promises a 20% increase in GPU performance — users should feel it in games with complex graphics.
In addition, the amount of internal memory in the basic version has increased to 64 GB. The front camera of the device has also been updated: it is a 12 MP ultra-wide lens with a viewing angle of 122 degrees, which inherited the Central Stage function from the iPad Pro, that is, automatic focus on a person in the frame. Also worth noting is the 12 MP main camera, the iPadOS operating system, and support for the Apple Pencil stylus and the Smart Keyboard magnetic keyboard (accessories sold separately).

The basic iPad from Apple's 2021 model portfolio will suit absolutely everyone — the model is positioned as a bedside tablet for reading, studying and entertainment. Also on it you can comfortably spend time in virtual gaming battles.
Loyalty to tradition
The 9th iPad remains almost the only "apple" gadget that remains faithful to the traditions in the field of design. On the one hand, it is still equipped with a convenient Home button with a built-in fingerprint scanner, and on the other hand, large bezels around the display spoil the aesthetic design of the device. You can’t call the design of the model otherwise than old-fashioned. Also, Apple will not abandon the Lightning connector in favor of the ubiquitous USB-C.
True Tone Screen
The front panel of the Apple iPad 2021 is headed by a 10.2-inch Retina screen with a resolution of 2160x1620 pixels, True Tone technology to “adjust” the display’s colour temperature to ambient lighting conditions. From the frame above the screen, if you hold the tablet in portrait orientation, the 12 MP selfie camera lens looks at the user. A distinctive feature of the character of the front camera is the function of automatic centering of the face during video communication Centre Stage.
Home multimedia
Electronic components migrated to the device from the Apple iPhone 11 family of smartphones. This is a performant A13 Bionic chip and 3/64 GB of memory(previously, basic iPads were supplied in a minimum configuration with a 32 GB drive). The tablet also has stereo speakers, but they are located on one of the short edges of the case — if you turn the device horizontally, the sound will come from only one side. The model is well suited for the role of a home multimedia device and is suitable for simple drawing or writing handwritten notes using the first generation Apple Pencil stylus.
