According to the manufacturer, such a design should be associated with reliability. Asus says the outer pocket is subjected to rigorous durability tests: it has been thrown from heights, drowned in water, hit with stones and stored in dust. Despite everything, the drive bravely endured all adversity, eventually earning MIL-STD-810H and IP68 certificates. At the same time, the case itself is made of aluminium, and inside it there is a special thermal pad, thanks to which the drive does not overheat even under round-the-clock load, maintaining full functionality for many years.

For data transfer, the Asus TUF AS1000 is equipped with a two-way USB connector with a 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface, which makes it easy to connect to modern PCs and laptops without limiting the read and write speed. The role of the brain is played by the Phison PS5013-E13 control controller. The drive can achieve read speeds of up to 1050 MB/s and write speeds of 1000 MB/s, which is almost double the transfer speed of most other portable SSDs.

In addition to the Windows platform, the manufacturer promises full compatibility with mobile devices, laptops, PCs and the latest generation game consoles from Microsoft and Sony. The device comes bundled with NTI Backup Now EZ software for easy backup, archiving and recovery of data, as well as the SSD Dashboard application for monitoring the status of the drive. The official three-year warranty from the manufacturer completes the picture.
