Asus' line of high-performance gaming laptops has expanded to include the ROG Strix profile series, which unites the manufacturer's top-end portable PCs. The models of the family can be recommended primarily for demanding gamers and e-sportsmen, but due to the powerful “filling” the models are ready for other resource-intensive tasks, including video processing, etc. Representatives of the line are equipped with 13th generation Intel processors (Raptor Lake), namely the 24-core Core i9 13980HX engine. The flagship mobile graphics card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 with 16 GB of GDDR6X memory and support for advanced optimization technologies is responsible for high graphics performance. Also, Asus ROG Strix Scar 16 2023 G634JY laptops received at least 32 GB of DDR5 RAM with a high operating frequency (4800 MHz), and in some configurations 64 GB of RAM was offered at once. There is a solid-state drive (up to 4 TB) for data storage, and a proprietary system with three coolers, 7 heat pipes and ventilation holes on almost all sides is responsible for effective cooling. The advantages of the family of laptops also include a 16-inch display with a resolution of 2560x1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a fast response of 3 ms. The screen features high-quality miniLED backlighting, which provides excellent image parameters, including high peak intensity (1100 nits) and compliance with the DisplayHDR 1000 standard, wide color gamut (covering 100% of the DCI P3 space) and accurate color reproduction out of the box, as confirmed by the certificate Pantone. Additional features of the models include a wide selection of wired interfaces, including a Thunderbolt v4 port and a LAN connector with a bandwidth of 2.5 Gbps for a consistently fast Internet connection. There is also a Wi-Fi 6E module (802.11ax), acoustics with four speakers, RGB backlighting for each keyboard key with a synchronization function (Aura Sync). It is also worth noting that the 90 Wh battery can provide up to 8.5 hours of autonomy.
