The AM-1 speaker system from the British company Bowers & Wilkins pleases with its pleasant appearance, compactness and allows you to enjoy beautiful, high-quality sound all year round, regardless of the weather outside.
Design features
The 31x18x21 cm cabinet can be mounted under the ceiling or on the wall and get an even distribution of frequencies due to the inverted arrangement of the speakers. Horizontal or vertical installation of the device is done using a swivel bracket, which allows you to direct the speaker in the right direction for proper sound propagation. The weight of 4 kg is not a hindrance for fastening at a height, all parts can withstand the load without any problems.
Discreet yet stylish design with rounded edges, black or white finish is perfect for any modern interior. The body of the B&W AM-1 is made using PolyGlass technology. This is a strong polymer with the addition of fibreglass, absolutely sealed, and protected from moisture and precipitation, so the speaker can be used outdoors in all weather conditions.
Powerful sound in any range
The two - way system provides compatibility with amplifiers up to 100W. A tweeter with a metal horn with a diameter of 25 mm works out smoothly, without peaks and sibilants, a fibreglass woofer with a diameter of 130 mm pleases with density and feedback. To improve the quality of bass reproduction, the depth of sound, the speaker has a passive radiator.
Due to the considerable cost ($ 350 per unit), stores offer to purchase the system as a set (2 loudspeakers) or individually, although the manufacturer himself insists on the first option.
