Backbone One for Android PlayStation Edition (BB-51-P-WS)

Mobile gaming controller released by Backbone in collaboration with Sony, designed in the signature PlayStation style — white body, transparent accents, and face buttons with triangle, circle, cross, and square symbols. The primary function of the device is to turn an Android smartphone into a full-fledged portable console for cloud gaming (PlayStation Plus, Xbox Cloud Gaming, GeForce Now), console streaming via PS Remote Play, and native mobile games with gamepad support.

The Backbone One for Android PlayStation Edition features a telescopic sliding design: the smartphone is inserted into an overlay mount and connects directly via USB-C, eliminating wireless connection delays and the need for separate power — the device operates from the phone. The control layout is familiar to DualShock and DualSense owners: asymmetric sticks, four-way directional pad, two bumpers, and two analog triggers, Options, Create, PlayStation buttons, and a dedicated Backbone app button.

Vibration feedback is not included in this model, contributing to its lightweight nature — only 138 g. The body features two critical ports: a 3.5 mm jack for wired headphones and a passthrough USB-C for charging the smartphone directly during gameplay, which is crucial for prolonged cloud sessions. The package includes a subscription to the Backbone+ service with its own gaming storefront, gameplay recording function, and integration with installed game launchers.
