Bought this power supply hoping for quiet operation. Upon connection, a squeal appeared. Got a defective unit, was very surprised and upset by this. Ordered on F.ua. 750 watts[283]. Everything is fine, it came new in sealed packaging via NP. Quiet, the relay click is inaudible in the room (it is very quiet on its own). Haven't given it a proper load yet, don't have the means, it's in a PC with a load up to 350 watts. The 12V, 5V, and 3V lines do not sag, the values are stable with a margin. I'll add a comment later after installing in a new computer. Quality, modularity+-, it weighs normally :)), Completeness+-, length and number of cables. Power around 700 watts. I was ready to pay this money for it, the most important part in a PC. The instructions are not clear. I used the 650W model for three years until it suddenly just shut off under load and wouldn't turn back on. The system's overall calculated maximum load is exactly up to 650W. The working time under heavy load was around 3-4-5 hours, plus 3-4 hours under very light load per day. It burned out without any special effects, without any smell, it just shut off completely. I sent it under warranty to the service center, where they couldn't repair it and offered a replacement with the BN284 (850W) literally immediately within 2-3 days. This decision was surprising, as the power supply looked new, and I was willing to wait two weeks for the repair. What could have broken so irreversibly and without external signs remains a mystery. Perhaps there were no technicians available at the service center due to the military-political situation... Quality of product execution, quality of cables, low noise level. be quiet! Straight Power 11 650W is one of the quietest computer power supplies with 80 PLUS Gold efficiency and 650W. Quieter than it are only solutions with popupassivny (hybrid) cooling, and even then they are silent only in idle time. Whereas the Straight Power 11 650W uses a proprietary 14 cm Silent Wings 3 fan with a fluid dynamic bearing, a six-winding motor, corrugated blades and a funnel-shaped frame. At idle, it emits 9 dB of noise that is generally indistinguishable by ear, at half load — 10 dB, and at maximum — still very quiet 17.5 dB.
No extra wires
The design of the Straight Power 11 650W PSU itself is completely modular, that is, all wires can be unfastened without exception. The cables are nylon-braided and very long: for example, the length of the traditionally most problematic 4 + 4-pin processor cable for neat laying is an enviable 70 cm. Four 6 + 2-pin graphics card power connectors are available.
German-Japanese quality
The Straight Power 11 650W circuitry, a creation of the German brand be quiet!, uses extremely durable Japanese Nippon and Rubycon capacitors. All possible levels of protection are implemented: OCP and OPP from overload, OVP and UVP from overvoltage and undervoltage, SCP from short circuit and OTP from overheating.
Four sub-lines
At the same time, the main 12-volt line is divided into four sub-lines for better voltage stabilization. The first feeds the motherboard and peripherals (disks, fans), the second — the processor, and the third and fourth — a pair of video cards. However such a scheme does not allow powering a couple of very energy-hungry video cards, like the Radeon Vega 64. For this task, it is better to choose a power supply unit with a solid +12 V line, such as be quiet! Power Zone 650W.
