It differs by noticeably smaller dimensions (compared to ATX-blocks). The Sea Sonic Focus SGX SSR-650SGX power supply is based on a high-tech hardware platform based on a resonant LLC converter with a synchronous rectifier and DC-DC converters. On the +12V line, the unit can deliver power equal to 99.7% of the nameplate (current up to 54 A). This guarantees extremely high voltage stability of all lines and an impressive efficiency of 90% over a wide load range (from 20 to 100%). The use of reliable Japanese capacitors of high temperature series in the output filters ensures a minimum level of ripple. For cooling, a low-noise 120 mm fan with a durable bearing is used. A special adapter frame allows you to install the unit in regular ATX cases (not included). Equipped with a full range of protective systems (OVP/UVP, OPP/OLP, OTP, SCP).

Seasonic FOCUS SGX is an SFX-L power supply with hybrid, that is, semi-passive cooling. Up to 30% of the load on the PSU, the fan does not rotate at all. And even then it works quite quietly, thanks to the hydrodynamic bearing. For which the PSU received, in addition to 80 PLUS Gold, also the Cybenetics Standard + silence certificate.

In addition to the gold FOCUS SGX at 650W, there is also a platinum SPX at 750W. Moreover, this is the honest power of the +12 V main line, which feeds the most energy-consuming PC components: the processor and video card. Whereas in many other PSUs the total power of all lines is declared: +12, +5 and +3.3 V.

The circuitry is, of course, Seasonic's own design, with minimal voltage fluctuations and low ripple. Cables are modular, in the form of flat pliable noodles for neater cable management.
