A compact version of the popular Pure Rock 2 CPU cooler. Part of the Pure Rock cooler family, which is part of the be quiet! occupies an intermediate position between budget Shadow Rock turntables and powerful Dark Rock supercoolers. Compared to the original Pure Rock 2, the Slim version has been reduced in height from 155mm to 135mm and the heat dissipation efficiency has been reduced from 150W to 130W.
Otherwise, this is a classic tower with a U-shaped layout, in which a massive single-section heatsink is located perpendicular to the processor socket, a 120mm fan blows it from the side, and 3 heat pipes directly contact the processor. Be quiet! Pure Rock Slim 2 is designed to cool high-performance processors of the caliber Inte Core i7 and AMD Ryzen 7 in automatic or manual overclocking mode.
Special mention deserves the outstanding acoustic characteristics of the model, which is provided by the proprietary second-generation Pure Wing turntable on a threaded bearing with PMW-speed control. The included mounting kit ensures compatibility with most Intel and AMD processors released between 2005 and 2022. be quiet! The Pure Rock Slim 2 is a sleek-looking processor tower that's only 135mm high, meaning it's guaranteed to fit even in old or compact PC cases. The radiator consists of 44 aluminium fins and three copper heat pipes with a diameter of 6 mm each. The contact of the tubes with the processor is direct, for maximum heat dissipation efficiency.
Smart Savings
There is no tube of thermal paste in the kit, it is immediately applied to the base of the cooler. There is also no spare pair of brackets; a second fan is simply not needed for such a compact cooler. However, even a single threaded-bearing 92mm Pure Wings 2 with 4-pin PWM control can dissipate up to 130W of heat.
Without noise and dust
