Beurer FT 65

The non-contact thermometer FT 65 from the German brand Beurer enjoys well-deserved popularity with the public due to its versatility — it can take temperature measurements both on the forehead and in the auricle. The error of measurement results in the first case will be ±0.3°С, and in the second — ±0.2°С.

Without contact

To obtain reliable results, it is enough to bring the thermometer to the measurement zone for only 1-2 seconds. When an elevated body temperature is detected, the thermometer gives a soft sound signal — it will not wake a sleeping child and at the same time warn parents about possible temperature deviations from the norm.

The dynamics of change

In the memory of the device, 10 cells are allocated for recording the results of the latest measurements with the exact date and time for each value. With their help, it becomes possible to track the dynamics of changes in body temperature. Measurements are stored in degrees Celsius or the less common Fahrenheit units.

In addition to its main function, the thermometer also knows how to determine the temperature of the liquid, which is useful to parents of babies when preparing infant formula. The device is powered by two "little finger" batteries, which are saved by the thermometer's auto-off function and the lack of display backlighting (at night, the screen must be backlit independently). All in all, the Beurer FT 65 is an excellent instrument for taking the body temperature of the whole family, especially if it includes a small child.

Good to know. The accuracy of results obtained with an infrared thermometer can be affected by skin moisture, a room heater or air conditioner, and inflammation in the ear canal (if an ear thermometer is used).
