Instead of the central continuous rib that led the tread of the first generation of the tyre, the model has acquired many diamond-shaped blocks in the medial tread segment. As a result, the tyre has significantly increased the number of sharp cutting edges. In order to ensure optimal handling and achieve high braking performance, the BF Goodrich G-Force Winter 2 215/60 R16 99H was endowed with two types of sipes: a straight shape in the central area of the tread pattern and zigzag cuts in the shoulder area.

The tyre tread diligently self-cleans itself from water and melted snow, respectively, the model is completely immune to the insidious effects of hydroplaning and slashplaning. The rubber compound of the Helio Compound 3G tyre is flavored with silica and sunflower oil additives — the tyre tread retains elasticity over a wide range of outdoor temperatures, up to strong negative values of the mercury column of a street thermometer.
