An advanced and easy-to-use headlamp, the Storm 450 features three auxiliary LEDs: red, blue and green. The main lighting uses two LED bulbs that provide high and low beam. The backlight is adjustable both stepwise (450, 226 and 6 lm) and smoothly, using the dimmer principle. If necessary, the low and high beams can be activated simultaneously, which creates a long and wide clearance.
The Black Diamond Storm 450 headlamp features a PowerTap instant brightness switching system. When this option is enabled, the backlight quickly switches to Turbo mode, bypassing all other brightness levels. The battery pack is created using Dual Fuel technology. For power supply, you can use either standard alkaline batteries or a lithium-ion battery. The factory equipment includes three AAA batteries.
Standard batteries can be replaced with a proprietary Li-Ion BD-1500 battery, which demonstrates a noticeably longer battery life. With factory batteries, the backlight remains active for up to 175 hours. The flashlight has a button lock option. The degree of dust and moisture protection fully complies with the IP67 standard. The device can withstand complete immersion in water (up to 1 m) for 30 minutes.
