The Bosch ART 24 corded trimmer should be considered as a compact lawn maintenance tool or for cutting grass in areas that a full size wheeled lawn mower cannot reach. The small working width (24 cm) allows you to maneuver between obstacles and cleanly mow small areas. On the trimmer head there is a limiter in the form of a bracket that repels flowers and shrubs so that they are not cut off by the fishing line along with the grass. The head can be rotated 90° for lawn edging. The rotation mechanism is implemented in such a way that the translation of the head from a horizontal to a vertical position or vice versa is performed with one hand in a couple of seconds. The semi-automatic head feeds the line with each press of the start button, ensuring the continuity of the process. A fishing line with a diameter of 1.6 mm is refilled into the reel (you can use any, but it’s better, nevertheless, to buy a branded one).
Lawn maintenance is virtually effortless
Thanks to its compact size and low tool weight (2.6 kg), even fragile women, teenagers and older people can use the Bosch ART 24. And in order to reduce the load on the hands to almost zero, you can buy wheels (look for them in the catalog under the article F016800386), which act as support rollers and allow you to roll the trimmer back and forth, like a miniature lawn mower. Enough power for lawn grass, but not for weeds
As users note in their reviews, the Bosch ART 24 trimmer is very quiet, does not tyre with vibration and almost does not heat up. It successfully mows even high lawn grass, but due to its low power it does not cope well with tough vegetation (like marsh and meadow grasses). Therefore, if your site is slightly neglected or overgrown with weeds, then it is better to look for a more powerful tool in the Bosch trimmer line, like the 600-watt Bosch ART 35 or the 900-watt Bosch AFS 23-37.
