Model overview based on user reviews
The Bosch PKP 18 E glue gun is praised for its thin metal nozzle, making it ideal for use in narrow slots and hard-to-reach areas. Users appreciate its compact and economical design, which is easy to handle and heats up quickly. The gun is noted for producing neat straight lines and small droplets when used correctly, although some users mention that glue can leak if the trigger is pulled too hard. Despite this, it is generally considered reliable and efficient, with minimal glue leakage compared to other models. The gun is recommended for its quality and performance, especially when used with branded Bosch rods. Overall, it is seen as a valuable tool for both everyday use and more precise applications.

great model, love it

Compact, easy to handle, instant heating. It’s simply irreplaceable in everyday life! Long narrow nozzle, glue hardly leaks from the nozzle. When working, it is best to use branded Bosch rods.
Economical, compact, does not leak

great model, I really liked it
9 February 2020
For a long time he spared money, bought cheap pistols and threw them away every other day. Spat, bought Bosch, now I understand the difference between consumer goods and a quality tool. In general, I am very pleased with the gun - it heats up quickly, the glue squeezes out neatly, the spout does not dig. The money spent on it is definitely not a pity.
Glue doesn't come out
Found no significant deficiencies

A good glue gun in the right hands
13 January 2020
I don’t know how this can be, but in my husband’s hands this gun is constantly leaking hot glue. Several times he got so hot that he lightly baked his husband's hand. I have a completely different story with him. Glue does flow out of the nozzle when the gun is stopped. But not as strong as other glue guns I've used. Yes, and when working, glue can actually leak from the gun, but it depends on how hard you pull the trigger. I get both small droplets and neat straight lines. The gun has a thin metal nozzle and is easy to use in narrow slots. Just before gluing, I apply glue first to another surface, and only then to the desired area. And in order to get a neat line of glue, then before applying to the working area, you first need to get rid of extra drops and practice a little on another surface. Good pistol.

Work in hard-to-reach places

The German glue gun from Bosh is equipped with a replaceable nozzle with a thin long nose, thanks to which you can “climb” into the most inaccessible places (for example, blow out deep joints between tiles). Glue is supplied evenly in a thin stream without “spitting”. At the same time, in 1 minute the gun produces 20 grams of glue, which is a high performance indicator among models in this price category.

Impossible to get burned

The temperature of the heating element reaches a maximum of 200 degrees, which allows you to perfectly glue materials with a high density. The case heats up to only 40 degrees. However, it is worth noting that the gun warms up for quite a long time - as much as 7 minutes. And so that the gun does not come into contact with the surface, a two-position support “foot” is placed on the body.

Working with rods of different lengths

The model works with 11 mm glue sticks. In this case, rods of different lengths from 45 to 200 mm can be used. The disadvantage of the Bosh PKP 18 E is that after the rod is completely used, a little glue remains in the nozzle, which can only be squeezed out if you load the next rod. This circumstance can create certain difficulties when using multi-coloured rods.
