Due to the introduction of fine particles of silicon dioxide in combination with polymers into the structure of the rubber compound, the tyre retains elasticity in a wide temperature range of outdoor air, boasts high mechanical strength and abrasion resistance. The tread pattern of the Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V3 225/55 R18 98T is directional. Its central part is formed from large triangular blocks with extended hook edges, which increase traction and improve the intensity of braking in the snow. Also, the work of transverse stepped edges in the shoulder areas of the tread is aimed at “pumping” the cesspool properties of the tyre. Compared to its predecessor, the DM-V2, the tyre has doubled the number of circumferential hydro-evacuation channels to four, which results in high efficiency water removal, along with melted snow and road mud.
